RC F automotive reviews thread

Pretty much what I've been saying all this while, I've driven the RCF for around 2 hours around a variety of streets, and I wasn't blown away compared to a late model ISF. Anything you gain will be in very small amounts, and the ISF definitely feels naughtier. Played with the different TVD settings and while they do help the car to power out of the corners better, you feel the weight.
2 weeks ago a friend test drove both and bought the last ISF that was on sale in my state. Sad to see the end of an era. The loss of 2 useable back seats is also a factor, people with kids want back seats. At least we know the GSF is coming!
The fact of the matter is if you want an F car now, there is no other option.
I'll probably get the RCF once they start getting heavily discounted when the GSF arrives and I can do a proper shootout with the wife!

Every review I have looked at (and sent to me) so far has the M4 winning the track battles. Can someone point me to one where the RCF wins the track battle? I have read a few references to the latter but I can't find evidence of the RCF win on Youtube or anywhere...I need to adjust the gloat factor of a buddy of mine lol. Thanks.

I did check the times, not sure why you included the M4's time against the RCF on the Motown Mile ( run different days) when the M3 beat the RCF on the same track at the same event, PCOTY testing. The M3 was almost 2 seconds faster than the M4 which leads me to believe there were issues with the track or weather or car the day it ran the track. M3 should not be that much faster than the M4.
The RC-F was also faster than the M4 in the Road & Track PCOTY Motown Mile.

From what I am reading, the M3 has had faster runs than the M4, FYIW.
We should keep this thread on track with coverage on the RC-F and avoid a shut down. We can move to PMs if so desired.

Thanks for the list ISF001. Beating Cayman S is impressive considering the huge weight and dynamic advantage of that mid-engined Porsche not to mention the GT500 monster. Its even a hair off the M6 competition. Very nice. Just imagine what it could have done with just bit less weight to haul around.

Motown Mile comes with an asterik (set up by Lexus, released by Lexus) and someone else has already posted the disparity about the results for the other. Just not worth arguing over these 'definitive' results. The cars are pretty much equal at this point when it comes to track results.

lol I'm very relaxed and just trying to help you out in dealing with a BMW guy in an argument. If you're going to waste your time arguing with one, then it's worth having a substantiated premise on which to participate.

I believe you meant the certified AMCI testing.

As for the results yes I agree that the test done on two different days should not be considered together especially when the M3 ran with the RCF on the same day and won lap time wise between the two. They are close enough but the Lex heft hurts it. But to be that close despite giving up that much weight speaks volumes about the cars setup. Just imagine if it was M4's weight it might have walked over the M4. Well if's are ifs and they work in both directions. Two great sport sedans and you cant go wrong with imho.
