Default Headlights for RC F

Hello,

Why am I seeing two different types of headlights for the RC F?

Thanks

There will be TWO offerings..

First, will be the Projector LED housing (don't think HID)

Second, new design called Triangular LED Headlamps (more expensive)

I think the Tri-LED suits the design language of the car so much better, and with the lights being on the NX as well, I think it's a motif that Lexus are going to carry through the range, kind of like the old triple LED configuration they had on hybrid models in the past.

Standard LED cluster looks like an afterthought big time, it looks cheap on such a sexy body.

Premium LED headlights are some what of a mystery when it comes to their packaging and availability. From what I've seen no one knows if they will be available as stand alone option or packaged together with some package, Carbon pack most likely in US.

Even bigger mystery is what's going on with standard RC.

I have ordered a RC-F hear in the UK, ( not carbon ) not sure what type of headlights will be on it but I wasn’t given a choice, there was also no mention of it in the options list, not even in the carbon list., so will just have to wait and see.
it just says under standard features LED headlights

I can tell you that they definitely are an option with the carbon model in the US.

I see.

By the way, I hope those Base Model Projector headlamps are HID Xenon.......and not some halogen crap (like what our local RAV4 gets).

Halogen headlamps are outdated and are a less superior form of automotive lighting..........and they do not have a place anymore in today's premium automobile market.

Please be more specific...

(1) they're OPTIONAL on the Carbon package?

or

(2) they're included in the optional Carbon package?

Soo far the base looking projectors should still be LED... Just like the 2014 / 2015 IS Headlamps..

PE is the designation for the carbon model, which does/did not contain the LED upgrade. PT is the Premium Plus Package OPTION, which I believe included the LED headlights for model 9225.

So you're saying: (1) they're OPTIONAL on the Carbon package?

Yes, but they may also be optional on the standard RCF.

OK, thanks. If items like this are optional on RC F Carbon, then I can certainly see a fully loaded Carbon pushing the upper $70's.

I suspect the UK will have the tri LED as standard as the F model is usually loaded with kit (similar to markets like Australia).
