Since the RC F is a lower production run vehicle (akin to say M or AMG), will Lexus allow more customization/personalization like those? While maybe not to the extent the LF-A could be, but hopefully a little more than what's offered in the lesser (RC) models. Why can't I select stitching colors, seat materials (full vs semi-aniline leather), etc.
I have already seen the order entry platform for the RCF. This level of customization is not currently offered. You have differentiation obviously between the standard RCF and the carbon model by way of the carbon roof and spoiler, headlight options, etc. but not stitching, etc.

Is TVD offered as a stand alone option like it is in Europe?

Based on my experience with my OS Giken Traction Control Differential, a high-end differential is absolutely worth its price of admission with a very noticeable change in the both the driving dynamics of the vehicle and its greatly improved performance handling limits.

If the Lexus TVD performs how I anticipate it would, it will significantly improve the stability of the RC-F both on the track and on the streets. You should feel the torque of the outside rear wheel pull you through every corner as you increase your throttle input and it will make you feel like your tires are coated with super glue.

I think I read somewhere that the RC-F TVD will detect the rotational speeds of both rear wheels at 1,000 times a second and will adjust the degree of torque between both wheels accordingly (based on one the three TVD settings that you choose from).

If that's the case it sounds worth every penny and significantly better than LDH/DRS because the differential thrust actually propels you through corners. And yes, it would be nice if it was a standalone option, but I expect it will be bundled on high end versions.

Based on what I saw, you need to purchase the carbon package to get the TVR. Of course, this could change--I can only tell you want I saw.

Like everyone else, I want to see the official press release.

Thanks. I really hope it is offered as a standalone option.

This is more of a question with an opinionated answer; with the nav screen, do you see it being upgraded to the 12.3 inch unit from the GS/LS in the next model year or being so performance oriented that it will be perfectly acceptable with the 7 or 8 inch unit it has now and it probably won't be a gripe many owners would have?

No...performance is what the true "F" class of cars is all about. I actually am glad it is not any larger in the RCF.
