USB has been dropped from the RC-F!!
Basically, I have both good news and bad news!
Firstly, the bad news - Ultrasonic Blue has been dropped from the Lexus RC-F. It is no longer the "F" colour so to speak.
Now the good news - It has been replaced with Azure Blue (may be called something else in the states). The paint uses the same process as the Infrared paint and is lighter and much brighter than USB.
All pics of the blue RC-F are Azure Blue. Very hard to see the difference in pictures, but its different in reality

I knew it looked different when I first saw it but I thought it was down to the lighting, but it seems its a new colour.

Yes, but still very very similiar.
The color in the states will be called "Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0" or in Japan "Heat Blue"
It will be color code: 8X1
Original Ultrasonic Blue Mica is 8U1
Joe Z :)

must be a 4 stage paint like Infrared, probably the metallic paint option. This paint will be a pain to fix if damaged. Is it the same blue as the LFA? Those getting the 4 stage paints should consider PPF extensively maybe even on the entire car.

I received a call today to come in and order the car. The RCF is now showing up on the system in the northeastern US, BUT...there is insufficient/incomplete ordering data. It was virtually impossible for the sales manager to validate that I would be getting precisely what I want in the car.
He called Lexus corp when I was there, and apparently they are in the process of building out the ordering data for the RCF.
Based on this I saw the color had been changed. I am hopeful that we can start to order these cars within the next few weeks.

It was changed to Ultrasonic Blue Mica, based on what I saw today on the Lexus ordering screen.
