Well seeing the numbers made me a bit happy that I didn't wait and had gotten the IS350 F Sport . 1 second faster isn't going to feel much of a difference when driving. Well that said, keep in mind that Lexus main focus on the RCF was "fun to drive" and not a M4 or M3 killer in speed. Of course what I said was based on every day driving on legal road whereas on track the RCF is probably way faster than the IS350 and maybe the M4
Are you actually comparing the 5.5 sec 2015 IS 350 F-Sport to the RC F?

I suggest taking two aspirin and sleeping it off...

Maybe...we'll see what the test drivers are able to do with the new beast...and it IS a beast.

Actually, the 0 - 100 km/h for the official IS350 is more like 5.7 seconds.

The recently released UK specs fall in line with the engine specs from the Gran Turismo 6 oil change trick I discovered using the IS-F CCS-R a few months back

Not enough power and too much weight. I was hoping they'd blow the M4 out of the water with the power/weight ratio, otherwise it needed to be lighter. Weight wasn't an option and now the power is not that great either. I just don't see this being a road course monster or a better overall car. Sigh.

Now they really need to price this closer to the M4 and not start at 70k (I know I know... BMW requires more packages, add-ons, etc.)

This is all a bit disappointing =/

sounds like a vette is more up your alley. Price and weight are still unknown. RCF will kill the ISF in performance, last ISF already matched the E9X M3

Guys,

It's not going to be everything to everyone. Sure, we all want 600 HP, 2-3 sec performance, a 200-mph top end...it's not going to happen for $83,000--what I expect the carbon model to sell for.

The LFA, for all of its cost, is not the fastest in its class...and there are faster cars for less money, but no better Supercar for overall performance and reliability.

Pick your battles based on your pocketbooks and must-haves. A 4-second car with a 170 top end is plenty for this guy from PA. . I love my ISF, but a bit more in the way of low-end acceleration, handling improvements, and over-the-top styling goes quite far with me.

This car may still break into the high 3s...again, let's see what tricks it will do and then voice more substantiated opinions.

And forget about matching the M4 with a lower price. This is a far superior car with respect to manufacturing and reliability. It's a Lexus and not a BMW--thank God!

Regardless, I want the superior OVERALL high-performance car, and the M4 IS NOT the one: 1-2 tenths of a second in 0-60 really are of little value in my world. I know the RCF engine will run and run, and that I do not have to worry about blowing the turbos, DCT, and rear.
Definitely hard to enjoy the car if it's in for repairs all the time

^ +100. For those who are disappointed with the price and 0-60 times, the Vette is a great car!!

The Corvette does the 1/4 mile in 12.3 - 12.5 seconds in road tests. It is actually slower in a straight line than most sport sedans of today. Most probably because of the manual transmission.

If 0-60 mph is the biggest concern for traffic light to traffic light then buy an AWD car with a turbo on it.

What does an SUV have to do with the RC-F?
