So i have called three local dealers (up to 3 hours away) and no one can pre order one of these for me.... Whats the deal, fall is not that far away. Im ready to start parting out my ISF and move on. Want to pick up an RCF or a slightly used 991 Carerra S PDK. I am disappointed as i feel some people on here have pre orders in already. I don't know why a dealer wont do it for me.

I went to my dealer last week and asked about pre-order. He said they put one name on a "list" with a small deposit, but only because the customer was insistent. He told me not to bother, as it would make ZERO difference in delivery.

I am on the list 'they told me I was third in line and this was on day one of the official announcement" they will call me when it's time.

Props to those who are willing to put in a pre-order without confirmed specs or pricing. I'm definitely going to wait for the facts before I even consider the car. With that said, I'm definitely clearing out the garage, but now strongly considering other options on the market. I'm hopeful but not as hyped for the RC-F anymore, I guess I'm not that loyal to Lexus.

Im going to put it back to stock and sell all parts separately. Im not as loyal as some, there has not been one bad review of any version of the 991 / 911 and when i do circuit days theres always more porsches than anything else.

The current put-your-name-on-a-list process is the pre-order. I was told the system in the northeastern US should be able to take orders in a couple of weeks.

However, for this to occur, I am sure the "official" launch will need to take place.

Soon is the answer...and I am as impatient as the next guy.
