RCF vs 2015 Mustang GT

Mustang specs just released; pretty evenly matched on paper: "The 5.0-liter V8 is probably what fans are most excited to hear about -- it’s good for 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. That’s a tidy 15 hp and 10 lb-ft increase over the outgoing model, and it’s within spitting distance of the 444-hp Boss 302. Not bad." http://www.autoweek.com/article/car-...ang-horsepower

Refinement, handling will leave a much bigger gap, as evidenced by price difference. Doubt it will be a fair fight. RCF FTW. But honorable mention to Mustang in Bang-for-the-Buck category.

RC-F is 471 HP and 393 ft-lbs of torque so not quite evenly matched unless the Mustang weighs like 400 - 500 lbs less. However, I doubt it since the last gen Mustang GT weighed 3850 lbs so the new one ain't going to be lighter.

The Mustang will more than likely have a huge advantage when it comes to modding over the RCF. But then again, I wouldn't do much to an RCF except maybe wheels and an intake/exhaust
Why mod the Mustang when you can get a Shelby GT350R? Granted we don't know what the specs are yet but I think that will be more comparable to the RC-F than just a regular ol V8 GT. The Shelby just sounds totally sick!!

I'm ordering one as a company car next week so I can directly compare it with the RC and RC F in the near future.... they have a very interesting orange, well played Ford...

Around 35k for a V-8 GT manual..not bad at all...

and i have my suspicions about how an automatic transmission with paddle shifters on a 45k mustang GT would perform.

Stang GT is still a 6AT, so I doubt its one of the new fast ZFs which are 8ATs
