My only issue is with the nose hump. It looks out of place and disproportionate like a swollen nose. However, I understand the V8 is so big in size that they needed to do that. Much rather have an N/A high-revving V8 than a twin turbo 6 cylinder.

As for the wheels, it needs some nice 5-spokes.
I can guarantee you that the bump is for pedestrian crash standards. The v8 sits a bit further back than that.

I remember the IS F nose looking swollen at first too. Just drive it, and I'm sure you'll forget about all those details...

I agree. But the IS-F hood in person is not that pronounced. But they could have done a better job since like you said, the RC-F was designed with a V-8 in mind.

well, IS in Europe has pop-up hood to combat the issue. I think it is combination of that and design. I always liked that beak in my 3GS, it had similar but much smaller... it looks menacing.

I am definitely not worried about the looks of this thing at all. They are great. More worried about the price in Australia!

I have heard it might cost around $175,000 - $180,000 in Australia? Does that sound about right?

Having been to the NY auto show this weekend, I must say that the RC much more impressive in person. The car looks great at every angle except for the weird hood hump at certain angles. Will that stop me from wanting an RC-F? No!

BTW I spoke with a Lexus rep for a while about the RC-F and he told me that the car was confirmed to have 456hp. Anyone else hear this?

No that is BS. There is no such confirmation. Besides, Lexus would not be claiming "over 450 HP" if it were only 6 HP less than the final output.

I would imagine if the final number was 462 they would have said "min 460". If the final number was 471 they would have said "min 470".

I would not be surprised at 456.

I already had given thought to this. When Lexus revealed the IS-F, Lexus said "over 400 HP" and not "over 410 HP". When LFA prototype was first given to C&D, Lexus said "over 500 HP".

There is no way to predict what the final number would be at this point. That is Lexus' style of sandbagging.

I wouldnt think it would be that much. Hoping for under $150,000. The toss up will be between the RC-F and the FT-1 (if it happens) which should come in maybe slightly cheaper.

I was facing the same dilemma. However, the FT-1 will most likely be a smaller 2 seater coupe while the RC-F will be a 2 + 2. Plus, FT-1 might probably not go into production till 2017 model year.

That makes it easier since I have a baby on the way and wife so RC-F will suit my needs more.

Yea I'm hoping for under 150k too, since the IS-F was listed at ~$129k retail.

If it's at around the IS-F's price, I'd be pretty happy, although I do wonder whether we'll get the carbon roof (yum).

FT- 1 will be 2+2 like many other Japanese performance coupes.
