4.2 is the best I've found. I don't even know how someone can get this number, probably has to do with altitude.

p.s. Notice I did not talk about 0-60 mph since it means absolutely nothing as it is only a measure of traction off the line and only beginning of the race so even if the RC-F is only 1/10th - 2/10th quicker in 0-60 mph than the IS-F, that does not imply it is not a lot faster. Just that it cannot put its power down as efficiently due to RWD.

RC-F will have a broader power band and additional ~ 60 HP. In a 1/4 mile, it is realistic to believe it will be 0.5 seconds quicker conservatively speaking despite being a bit heavier.

i do agree 0-60 is pretty pointless though, imho even 1/4 mile is somewhat pointless for cars like this anyway. but i just want to make sure if you want to compare apple, don't bring orange to the table. i can't comment on how fast the rcf will be and/or if the m4 is comparable. but i can only say all the FI m and amg lately have been pretty stupidly fast.
i care more about how good the rcf drives overall, just like how i didn't care about how fast my m3 went in straight line. and obviously i think pricing is going to be very tricky, my belief in why lexus is still not leaking any solid details. truth is i have seen a few people picking up / ordering their m4 in the mid 70s range. for comparable options, i am pretty sure rcf will be cheaper, but the problem is it seems like not too many choices on the rcf packages

I don't think I ever said the IS-F ever ran a 3.9 seconds since there is no test that ever showed that. When I was talking about 3.9 seconds and 12.1 - 12.2 seconds 1/4 mile, I was talking about the M4.
Although, I believe the RC-F will be pretty close to the 3.9 - 4.1 seconds and 1/4 mile in 12.2 seconds

you said isf ran 3.9 0-60, i think we are trying to qualify that claim being best case or avg.

i think looking at the c63 is a good reference on what the rcf can do

I'm somewhat new to this forum ("longtime listener, first time caller" ). Heard a rumor from my local dealership that specs and price could be announced as early as this week. Hoping it's true.

Hopefully, Lexus will cut with the BS and finally announce the pricing and specs on it.

I literally just came back from my local Lexus dealer (Chatham Parkway Lexus in Savannah, GA) and the current finance manager is a family friend who used to be sales manager a few months ago. He said they just had their first order from a guy. Starting around 68K. Topped out at 73 and some change. Carbon for 77. He was looking at a screen and reading me these round-about numbers, but they basically seem to follow what people have been saying all along. No big shock, but just more confirmation.

Ironically, the spec is STILL not available. I was told they are still "not done." I was told it will be out any day now.
I am hopeful that the car can be ordered in mid August and delivered long before the white stuff starts in my neck of the woods.

The RCF IS being sold in the south as of this time. The northeast will follow within the next 2-4 weeks.
