Yea, totally reminds me of a super BRZ!
I like the front and side shots a lot, the rear is what looks a little cheap to me. The interior, especially the seats looks awesome. Can't wait to see it in person. There are a lot of cool coupe options out there, itd be hard to decide on this, unless its starts out performing the competition.

I think the grill is a little odd, but the space it provides leaves tons of potential for aftermarket goodness. I see a ton of potential in that car.
Some see the BRZ, I see the rebirth of the Supra, something a lot of poeple have waited for, for a long, long time.

I am not crazy about the new pipes, and I am having difficulty accepting the front grill--it is a strong exaggeration of the new grill concept.
A substantial performance hike might pull me over in 2016.

More details about the engine in the link below. Was surprised to hear the words Atkinson Cycle mixed in there! Apparently the compression ratio will be variable. Cool stuff!

I was surprised to see this as well. I guess Atkinson cycle engines are not reserved for hybrids anymore. Is anyone else doing this in the performance segment?

How the hell did they manage to make this new COUPE heavier than the outgoing SEDAN??? My interest in this car just waned away a little in favor of the M4. You can tame weight, but you can't hide it.
Bigger wheels, brakes, and bodywork mean the RC F will weigh more than the IS F, but Yaguchi-san assures us the coupe will handily outperform its sedan predecessor on the dragstrip and the Nürburgring, and that the way its naturally aspirated V-8 delivers torque, combined with its aggressive and distinctive appearance, will draw its own unique audience.

I don't know. Prior to learning the new RC-F will weight more than 3,800lbs, I was making the basic assumption that a brand new generation platform designed with two fewer doors would employ weight saving materials and technologies. The C7 Corvette weighs 3,300lbs and new M4 is estimated to weigh 3,300 to 3,400lbs... it only seemed natural that Lexus would want to go in the same direction. I was obviously wrong.

Don't make that assumption. The M3 official weights are dry. They claim it is 150 lbs lighter than the E90/E92 M3.
However, if you look at the weights of the E90/E92 M3, it is in the 3704 - 3750 lbs with all fluids (compared to the 3500 lbs dry weight BMW put in the official specs). Even if BMW was correct in their weight difference, it will still weigh somewhere close to 3600 lbs.

The Nissan GTR is a shade over 3,800lbs as well, and there aren't many people complaining about its performance ability. If Lexus delivers on the performance numbers like they say they will (dragstrip and road course lap times), then I'm not really all that worried about how much the car weighs. I mean who seriously buys a luxury sports coupe and then complains that it isn't "tossable" enough? The sound-deadning, electronic gizmos, leather, luxury, and other things that make a Lexus a Lexus are very much a part of this car. If you want something lightweight and tossable, then you should probably look to buy something a little more track-oriented. This is not going to be a pure sports car, nor is it meant to be.
