Default Cheap RCF - Which one of you got it?

Came across this one on eBay last night. $43k and appears to be really clean. Hope one of you guys got it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/381946160059?ul_noapp=true

Checked back today and it appears to have been sold. 36k miles and clean CarFax. It was sold by Jaguar of Palm Beach FL.

I think thats a pretty good deal considering the car is almost double that brand new. This car is also pretty reliable.

no they aren't selling for $80K, heck in Oct 2015 when I bought mine the MSRP was $79,800 and I bought it for $73,000 out the door, tax license, 5 year maintenance and extended warranty, full Xpel, etc. etc.

The few around here are going for $55K - $65K brand new.

Serious question, I'm tired of looking for pre-owned hovering in the mid 50s knowing people are talking about $58k for new. I'm from CA and could use a referral on what dealers I can work with at that price range? I'm probably a new car buyer at 55k lol.

Lexus HQ had since adjusted it's production due to inventory piling up back in 2015 and earlier part of 2016. Hence the crazy discounts. Not sure if the situation is still the same.

I was actually aware of the $5k Lexus incentive and all, but the poster mentioned present tense that there's a few going at that rate still. There are 2015s and 2016s in the area for sure so I was curious if those dealers themselves were aggressive.

Don't know how good of a deal it is. I've been watching the market pretty closesly as I search for mine and that is a stripper RCF. No options (No ML, TVD, Base Wheels, No heated steering wheel, etc) and with that many miles pretty much no warranty left.

On the flip side you can get cars around 48k with 8k miles and premium wheels, ML, and yes, even a few TVD's out there. Much rather spend the extra 5 for the remaining warranty and better optioned car.

can't speak for FL, but Cargurus.com shows that around me there are,

8 - 2015s ranging from 3,000 - 21,000 miles for $48k - $56K,
2 - 2016s one with 1,900 and one with 6,900 miles for $51K and $53K respectively,
9 NEW 2017s from $61K to $69K

Truecar.com says the median price around here is $63k

and from a trade in perspective, I went looking at the new Genesis G90 and Hyundai/Genesis offered me $52K for my RCF on Trade. Based on that, my guess is they would advertise it for ~$58 or so expecting to get at least $55K.
I'm not trading at this point, I'll wait for the G90 for 2-3 years so they can work out the hic-cups on a new design, but it was interesting to see what I was offered.

Did some more digging. That RCF sold at Manheim Palm beach today for $42k. I know most of you are saying $42k isnt cheap, but it is the cheapest RCF that has sold at auction in the last 6 months. Yes the mileage was a little higher, but even with mileage it is still less than NADA rough trade-in value. It was a clean carfax one owner car and was in excellent condition.

I know for sure no one here would sell their RCF for $42k.

Looking at the current depreciation curve on 2015's (this is automatically calculated on carsforsale.com) these puppies are still dropping significantly every month.

Looks like it was a dealer trade-in. I'd have to guess they probably gave $39-40k for it.
