Cannot say I have seen that around. Would this be covered under warranty? I would think but I learned long ago I just cannot figure what method warranty companies use to cover or not cover certain things that are not normal wear-and-tear items...

Its a new car covered by Lexus, not a warrant company. It's covered if it is a defect.

Understood guys. I knew the ISF was a Yamaha product before I purchased and was one of several reasons I did purchase because they are reliable. But that rattling/tapping in my 2008 did not do that when I purchased it nor did it until sometime later and the younger F's do not do it. That is all I was trying to state.
As for as my warranty question. I know about the manufactures warranty and I should have used some of the examples I had in my memory bank that led to me asking the under warranty question. Things like the interior dash/door panel issue in the 08's. Covered for all other IS versions, same damn door and from what I have read around the ISF board, same manufacture and vendor and from the IS's I have been in; they sure looked exactly like the ones in my ISF. The foggy headlight lens issue. Again, covered for all IS's but not the ISF and that is what I was referring to with my comments. Also, you will start to see more and more third-party companies picking up the extended warranty portion (the 50K - 100K mile portion) after the manufactures portion runs out and if you have not already, you will see this offered more and more at time of new car purchase from the dealership for a cheaper price than when going to purchase one after the original manufactures warranty period. I say this based off of conversations and statements from two friends who are both executives (one with Toyota and the other with GM) and unfortunately there business models are steering them (car manufactures) away from offering manufacturer extended warranties due to the deteriorated profit margin among other factors.
