Thats not correct. Don't make a blanket statement without reading numerous posts on here by RCF owners that are running them. Some have stated it throws a CEL after every fifty miles or so. I'm sure the quality is superb, not saying that in the least, but several members on here hav3 posted about the code repeatedly thrown. If an O2 sensor is all that's needed then why wouldn't they install them during installation? I'm not bashing at all.....I've run aftermarket headers HKS & Invidia on different cars and have never had any codes thrown....ever. Before I go plunking down my cash on a set of headers for a Lexus I'd prefer to know that I don't have to reset the ECU to get the light to go off on my dash.

It's not a blanket statement . We've installed a handful of these headers here and have sold many more. If a code is being thrown, it could be a bad 02 conditioner or possibly the older version. PPE has newer conditioners now that can be swapped out if you received an older style.

Interesting.. SO, JM Auto what your saying is those that hove thrown CEL is because of "OLD" 02 conditioner vs a "NEWER" conditioner which is more suitable not causing a CEL? Thanks for feedback

While speaking PPE they reported this was an issue and the new conditioners have fixed the problem. We are actually working with a member right now on the side to learn more about the new style conditioner, if it's improved the problem on his RCF and if this something than can be used without a tune. Will advise shortly.

If this is the case, this is good to know. Are there any members that can verify/corroborate this?

The first headers we sent out were with an adjustable O2 conditioner that was very difficult to get dialed in correctly. After several months we updated the kit with CEL Eliminators and some wiring extensions for the rear sensors.

Customers that contacted us with CEL issues were given the updated CEL Eliminators and all new kits come with them. We have been using them successfully for a while now with no complaints reported. We have also used the CEL Eliminators on RCFs with gutted cats with success.

Makes sense as the new kits we have been selling and installing have eliminators instead of conditioners.
