I'm sure some of you have seen the leaked 2016 lightning lap results from C&D. It was interesting to see the RC F GT concept have a time faster than the ACR viper and close to the 918. I don't know if Lexus will ever release a public version of this car, but it's fairly impressive nevertheless.

Holy 23s faster than a standard RCF lol. Impressive for sure but that's a track car with zero creature comforts. Honestly though, Lexus needs to make a production RC F GT with the widebody and suspension of the GT Concept, along with some weight reduction (carbon doors hoods trunk) with a balance of a livable (and certification worthy) performance oriented interior. Something like a GT3 RS version of the car. I would be the first in line with cash in my hands. Sure it won't be 918 fast, but I'd be happy with 911 Turbo S fast.

Yeah, it's definitely a track car as it's sitting at 3100 pounds (900 less than a stock RCF). But yeah, would be nice to drop it to at least 3500 and have a decent interior.

Get CF hood, roof, and trunk...upgraded lighter suspension, 2-piece rotor/CCBBK, light forged wheels, supercharged and tuned engine, titanium exhaust..take out all stock seats, insulation, and misc stuff...add CF single race seat...gets pretty close

No...it's 3,327 pounds--600 less that the standard RC F in omitted luxuries.

It is an amazing accomplishment for Lexus engineering and testimony to how phenomenal the RC F is with its masterpiece V8.

Right, I posted before the video came out with the 3327 pounds. In an earlier C&D article, they had the curb weight at 3130 pounds.

Weight loss and full race slick are probably the biggest reasons for the speed of that ar for sure.

Very impressive I've always wondered why more users don't go with the full race slick there's seconds to be had over a lap vs the semi or road option.
