My headers are done. Finally coated. Asking to see if there us anything to look out for....
Im having a certified Lexus mechanic do the work ( he's a friend )

Question - reuse gaskets or new gaskets ?

I'd say Use new gasket but if the condition of the current gasket is good then reuse it. Lol!

My personal philosophy is to ALWAYS replace gaskets.I replace the oil drain gasket every time!

A small leak would cost you $$$ as you'd need to pull the motor, correct?

new gasket. i wouldnt use a lexus tech. dont ask how i know. Most OEM techs have no idea how to do aftermarket mods. A certified tech broke my steering sensor, Clock spring, didnt connect the primary 02 sensor let the harness melt on the header and i had to replace that too.. paid him 400 to do the headers he broke 2000 worth of stuff.

Thanks guys. I went to the dealer and got the part print out. I'll call PPE in the am and confirm that all
Part numbers are correct and make the order. Meeting a few follow local CL membes for an RCF exhaust comparison at Lexus of Rockville in MD. We have an apexi,JoeZ, and borla on my car. It will be interesting to see the results.

As for the Lexus mechanic. I completely understand where your coming from. Yet, this particular tech had a late model ISF that was modded to the max. He's done a dozen or so headers and knows the car inside and out. Since he just got a GSF.

Pic for attention
