Davew77, just looking into what other people are seeing and found during their search. Ive never bought or owned a "Japanese car" so I dont have anything to base it on. Besides, I work at the dealership and basically Im getting it for trade value from what Ive been able to research. Also, just got in a 2016 ATS-V (black on black) which is pretty sweet but I do like the interior on the RCF better.

I looked at the ATS-V recently in my search for a sedan, spent some time playing around with the CUE system and found it to be a bit confusing. The Recaro seats were nice but the rest of the interior can't really compare to my RC F, the gauges are the worst part. I'm not even sure how that made it into a car with a $79,300 MSRP. The exterior I liked, especially the carbon fiber. The car seems as if the guys designing the exterior didnt even speak to the guys designing the interior.

Amen! My father lived his whole life saving money and the last thing he told me before he passed away last month was that he wished he had bought more of the things he wanted.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. Couldn't agree more with this. Work hard, spend hard, and enjoy life.

Thank you, I just turned 32 and it sucks not having him around. I was lucky enough to have him teach me most things about motorcycles, but when it comes to cars...there is still so much I don't know. I know how to drive the hell out of 'em, but if it doesn't have a carb...I'm pretty lost under the hood. Thankfully, forums like this exist and I'm a fast learner.

Yup, sorry to hear it too.

I'm lucky enough to still have my mother, but I never knew my father. So I do everything I can to take care of my mom. She's still in good health though at 56, so it's only financial help that she needs. Well, she probably doesn't "need" it, but I give it anyway. I live very well and there's no reason she should have to live without anything since I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her.

the prices on these 15s make me sick to my stomach. I am afraid lexus made too many 2015 RCFs and RCs The 2016 Rcf production as been slowed to balance everything out. It is such a fantastic car to be sold for 20k off is just gross.

I thought the same thing when I started shopping for mine, just couldnt understand 22 percent off a new car, no way I could pass it up. 72 msrp for 54.

thats typical for high end cars. I quoted s550 and m6 2015 left overs, dealers are more than willing to unload them at 25% off sticker

It's freaking depreciation folks.

2015 is long gone and 2016 is almost gone too.

Drive it now while it's still worth something!

Really? I saw 2013 991S on Autotrader the other day for $ 45k . . .

Current Auction/Wholesale

Wholesale cars:

I just scanned Mannheim/wholesale listings and cars coming up for auction. There are 13 RCFs. The lowest priced 2015 on the dealer network is $48,900, but it has right at 30k miles.

There is also a 2015 lemmon law buyback for $49,500 with about 19k miles.

Most 15s are wholesale listed mid $50ks with two in the upper $50ks.

Auction cars:

There is a 2015 with an opening bid requirement of $51,000 that GRADED a 2.9 (Below Average), but it list HAIL DAMAGE on hood and shows lots of undercarriage damage and pervious side body panel repairs.

- - -

There are 2 2015s for $52,400 wholesale, one of which is showing pretty heavy scratches/issues on several body panels, rashes on all wheels and both of which will take about $1,000 to $1,500 to get into condition to put on a lot not counting shipping.

- - -

The opening bid on this one with 12k miles is $53,500 (+/- $2k to sell + shipping depending on windshield):
