Default RCF Custom Exhaust Set Up's - 2016

I am looking for an exhaust setup that increases my horsepower and generally makes the car louder. I will likely add a separate switch to toggle between closed and open (quiet and loud respectively). I love the Meistershaft and the Novel but pricing is around $7,000 - $9,000 and I am more in the $2,000 - $3,000 range where the borla and apexi nx-1 are.

Any other recommendations south of $5,000? What am I missing that is out there? Thank you in advance!

Default Joe Z

I am another fan of Joe Z. I think the Joe Z has the perfect tone the way it is but if you're looking for a louder set up, an electric cut out put in line may be an option but it would be a shame to cut into such a nice set up.

PPE has developed such an exhaust for the ISF. I have one and it works the way the OP is describing. They have one in development for the RCF, but it's not ready for prime time yet.

Valves= Meisterschaft. Its honestly a very raw sounding exhaust.. Tame when the valve is closed though. Customer had the Meisterschaft and it sounded sooo good.

^^^^Josh

Did you not understand my post? PPE uses vacuum and button controlled valves as an option in their exhaust system. They have such an exhaust now for the ISF and one for the RCF in development.

Yes I did. Was just advising something to the OP for something that is readily available.

Nobody has mentioned this yet so I will, the Meisterschaft exhaust is under $5000, not sure where you're seeing $5-$7k systems at.

With the midpipe and wireless remote it is over $5k.

This is sounding like the best bang for the buck...

Borla is gaining popularity as well. A little cheaper than Joe Z. But no dyno results from Borla yet

^^^^I didn't post this in the Borla thread, but I will here. I have had experience with Borla, in a prior life. David Borla and I had a rather spirited online discussion about a decade ago. IMHO, the quality of the Borla Exhaust System is sub-par. The clamps they use are prone to leaking. If I were to install a Borla system (I never will) I would weld up each pipe after proper fitment. I have also had experience with both the JoeZ System and the PPE System (PPEs system is not yet ready for the RCF) and both are quality pieces. You do get what you pay for.

I have the Meisterschaft Axle back portion only with the electronic valve cutouts and the sound is amazing! I was originally planning on getting the front + midpipe as well but decided not to for now because I like the sound so much as it is. From my experience, if you shop around you can get the Meisterschaft system for under $5k (SS system not TI).
