FYI I just spoke to Borla directly, they said it needs tuning since the stock cat is removed

^^^^Hogwash Don't know who you spoke to, but tuning Nope. The Borla, or any third party exhaust removes the 2 secondary cats, leaving in the 2 primary cats, which are part of the stock exhaust manifolds. Installing headers removes those, and again, no tune is necessary. Some folks, like me, have installed aftermarket highflow cats in their exhaust systems. I have MagnaFlow cats in my PPE exhaust system.

BUT, passing California smog - that's another matter!

No. There is no system check for the secondary cats, only for the primaries. There is no CEL if only the secondaries are removed.

In the install pics there's an O2 sensor being removed and reinstalled. I'm assuming that sensor is just aft of the primary cats and there no sensors past that point. Correct?

Secondary cats are deleted with the system and not needed period. The o2 go into the x-pipe.

After a full week no CEL.

First video is 40-45 mph all windows up

- guys the system doesn't drone and you're not hearing the exhaust unless you're standing on the pedal. Me, I'm standing on that ***** cuz it sounds amazing!! Been ear to ear grinning for a week!
