Default Neat Find for my RC F

found this on ebay, 99% match to the red seats in the RCF.

the black cover was meh, this is actually thicker leather, better stitching and fits better, in the OEM Lexus case my fob moved around and the buttons didn't line up correctly to the holes.

This one fits perfect.

It's a nice change from black. Would be a nice match to Infrared but, 40$ shipped seems a bit steep.

the price you pay for a higher end car I guess.

I only got one case with my RCF, the dealer wanted $40 for a second, so I went this route, same price, better case IMO.

No disrespect intended and (importantly!) if you like it that's what counts, but I think it looks like something I would have done at Camp Powhatan getting my leatherwork merit badge in middle school.

The cuts and edges all look uneven, the button holes are crooked, the 'F' stamp is shallow and lighter on one side vs the other.

Functionally understand it might work better than the OEM one and I can appreciate hand crafted, but that would bug me every time I took it out of my pocket even if it cost half what it did.

well I compared the one from Lexus with this one after reading your post and it is pretty much the same. the button holes are even worse in the crookedness and they don't line up to the buttons at all. this one has a black rubber banding around the edging, the OEM one doesn't and as a result the edge has all frayed and the stitching is coming apart after 8 months..

and actually the deformity of the button holes and the edging seems to be a result of the fob..

The Lexus OEM has much better quality of workmanship. It has the black with blue stiching and is very soft. The dealer gave me 2 (2 were in the sealed sales packaging). See pics

Props to the OP for going a different route. The OEM Lexus 'F' key holder is not great quality, but it is free at the dealership. I grab a few from my salesman when I have a chance since they wear out on the edges so quickly. What bothers me most is the fact that every F-Sport owner has the same key holder. Right now I have an all black key holder with the Lexus logo embossed on the back, looks stealth and I like it, too bad it is already falling apart on the edges. Oh well, I'll just throw it away and replace with another one I got for free.

There is an oem red one as well. Last time my car was in for service they swapped mine since they got my old key glove dirty.

As I said I got ONE with my car, not TWO, and it isn't the one you guys posted, it doesn't say "F" on it, it is not black with blue stitching, it is black with grey stitching, and just has the "L" on the back, and the quality of mine doesn't look any better than the red one I bought, my biggest complaint about the OEM one is the buttons don't line up AND the edges are all frayed.

additionally when I asked the dealer about it, they quoted me $40 for one, not free by any means at least from Santa Monica Lexus.

The black with grey is the generic one they give out for most cars. They should've at least ordered you some 'F' key gloves. Send me a PM if you'd like and I can drop a pair in the mail for you.
