Default VDIM and tire size

I know these are different companies, but the technologies work very similar. Infiniti's VDC uses the staggered tire height between the front and rear tires in the calibration formula. Does Lexus' system work similar? I ask because many G35 owner switched wheel and tires but had to maintain at least a 1/2 inch diameter difference between the front and back or VDC was invoked too soon. I tested this when I went to 235/50 winter setup on all four wheels. VDC came on way too soon, which wasn't too bad when driving in the snow. Right now on the RCF in stock form, there is a .6 inch difference in diameter between the front and back.

Have any of you experienced any weird VDIM activity when switching out stock tires? Guys that kept the 255/35 in front and went to 295/30 please chime in. This was my plan when I wore out the 275 PSS. Going to this setup makes both front and rear diameter the same at 26 inches however.
