Extended warranty?
The extended warranty that they offered me at the financing depr was 7 yr/75,000 miles. It didn't really seem like it was worth the money to me. Do you know if it's possible to get a 100,000 mi extended warranty through Lexus?

It adds two years to the original 4 and adds unlimited mileage.
I know I won't keep mine 6 years but will definitely cross the 50K mark.
http://www.lexus.com/lcertified/certification-warranty.
Complimentary maintenance as well.

You may want to look at a used that is L Certified.

Most dealers will try to sell you an extended warranty that is not offered by the manufacturer.
From what I was quoted, the Lexus extended warranty up to 7yrs/100k miles cost $3k.
However, compare to a 3rd-party extended warranty policy with same type of coverage, dealer quoted $2k. I was able to get them to knock it down to $1500.
if your car is under 100k miles, you can obtain extended warranty yourself through a 3rd party. Do a quick search online, lots of results should come up. Most will still allow you to bring your car to a dealer for warranty service. (some won't, so be careful)
my past experience with an extended warranty on my 2006 2IS was totally worth it. since my speedometer needles were going out. The extended warranty covered that. the parts alone was like $1500. I ended up having every small thing replaced/fixed before the 100k mile mark and sold the car at a very good price.
