I'm in the same dilemma... Hopefully someone will see this and jump in to help

Hey Finny, I may install mine this weekend and just leave the button loose on the center shift console until I figure out how to mount it.

At least this way I can start to enjoy the benefits of this and worry about the cosmetic part later.

I pulled the driver door scuff panel back in order to pop off the side dash panel. I was able to barely get my hand behind the dash to pop out one of the blank slots and then mounted the Apexi switch in that slot. From there you can just run the wire down to the pedal and tuck it into the side. Hope this helps. Here are a couple of pictures of what the connection looks like:

I finally installed this and it works as promised. When in sport plus mode and red hi throttle mode. Peeling out is almost hard NOT to do if you tap the gas .it is that sensitive on take off.

Makes even normal mode more responsive as well. Kind of cool with the color lights lit up at night.

I did not mount to the left panel by BSM switch as spent few mins on it and could not figure quick or easy way to take it off. So just Velcro it on right side of the driver dash.

Reaching up under dash to remove the switch was very tight space and bit hard as you cannot see the lever you need to press to release it. Had to use mirror and light to view it first and finally got it off.

Also did not opt to install reverse switch as did not want to splice the wire. Just have to leave it in Eco mode whenever I take it in for service.

Default Fitting A'pexi throttle controller

Hi all,

I'd like to splice in the reverse signal wire. Has anyone done this and could they help explain where the correct wire is accessed please?

Thanks

No need to do it. At all.
There is zero surge in reverse with controller installed.

+1 I didn't have the reverse wire connected either, there is no need for it.

Ok thanks people, makes things easier! Can you pop off one of the switch blanking plates from the front to mount the control switch?

It's a cool mod for the price! Customers love them, cool bang for the buck.

If you look at the builds, at least one member already did this.

Yes you can pop it out carefully. The guy who installed it for me cut a small opening at the bottom of the blank to run the wire and then stuck the switch onto the blank piece and popped it back in place.

I am extremely happy with it, completely changes the way the car drives and accelerates. I keep it in red 80% of the time and when I want to cruise a bit more I put it in purple.
