S+ vs. Normal Tach readings at idle don't match
Noticed this today while stopped and at idle in S+ tach showed 800 rpm. I then switched mode to Normal which only showed 500, then sport which also only showed 500. Switched back to S+ and only then did it show 500. I didn't do anything else except change the drive modes. After driving a bit and stop at another light, I can repeat this sequence over and over and it always does the same thing.
I am not really concerned at all but does anyone else's do this ?

I've noticed the electronic dash has a bit of a delay on updating.
I have an aftermarket HUD connected to the ODBII port and it seems to respond faster than the cluster for both speed and rpm.
I've noticed what you have, switching the modes you force it to update, if you had left it alone it would have updated itself in about 10-15 seconds. .
there is a definite lag between reality and what the cluster is reporting.
