Default Aftermarket Audio

Well, I just picked my USB RCF last night without Mark Levinson, and I am not happy with the audio.

I already have a set of really nice Hybrid Audio components and a cool Zapco amp that has a built-in DSP that does basically the same thing as the JBL MS8 so I can have an active setup with just the amp.

Is there anything available for the RCF yet that makes this process a bit more streamlined?
Does anyone know of any reputable places to have something like this done in the Dallas area?

Does anyone have experience with converting a surround sound factory setup to a proper stereo configuration? Just leave existing speakers where they are just send no signal to them?

Look into audio control. I used the lc2i in my 3rd gen Is350 F. I had 2x12's with an alpine 1500w amp and 3.5 farad cap. You'll probably want one of their higher end products lc6i maybe. The integration between the factory amp and my new equipment was flawless. I'm putting this same setup into my Rcf in a week or so. My IS was loud and clean. The mark Levinson is too flat for me.

Next time get the ML. It'd have been cheaper. But the main reason for my post is to be extra careful who does the work on your car. Most of the techs doing those installs are used to old cars with simple electrical systems, not CANbus ones. Go to a high-end place that will guarantee their work. Good luck.

Let me know what you guys do, I pre amp it with my phone's EQ but it's kinda cheesy way to do things and would not mind doing something a little more high end as this car is so small inside it would sound great, I have the ML as well and it's great but I think 2-3k more it would be unreal.

I wanted the ML, but the dealer said he couldn't find any with ML in his trade area except for maxed out cars with carbon and TVD.

Anyway, I already have these components that I bought like 4 years and have never installed them waiting until I got a car I knew I would want to keep for awhile.

Anybody know anything about Soundscape in Plano?

For the mac users - just create a virtual machine with Windows on the image. Most macs dual boot. I used to use my Mac for vag-comm for my Vw this way. Really simple and easy solution

Congratulations on your car! I got mine early January.

In regards to soundscape, they are a very... very good shop. They should be able to take care of you, do the job right and warranty their work.

I got the ML but spend most of my time listening to the sweet melody of my V8

I think the stock bass from the ML system is good enough for me but I can see where it is lacking and a add-on 10 would work.
