F-Off: Say Bye Bye to Lexus F's Naturally Aspirated V8

I think t would be awesome if Lexus provided a twin turbo V6 option.
The Nissan R35 GTR experienced a lot of success using the twin turbo V6 setup so it would be cool to see similar power and performance capabilities in a Lexus while also pacifying EPA standards and restrictions.
As much as I love the sound and performance of the N/A Lexus V8, I think it's cool to see the evolution and forward progress of car manufacturers. Can't wait to see what comes out of this.

At the Current Price of the RCF, how many cars do you think that stay with it Performance Wise? Remember, Current Price around $70k this Excludes the ones with the TVD & How would they Copy the AMG Twin Turbo V8 IF they're NOT going to do the V8's anymore which i Agree with JDSwiper it would be GREAT if they did.

True. True. Being in one is so addictive.
The V6 in the IS isn't too bad. I could go for a V6 turbo if Lexus decided to just add one to the stock V6.That would be a nice leap in tech.

Look at the N54 i6TT versus the N62 V8. Technically the V8 makes more on paper, but dyno numbers have shown the N54 is its equal with more torque. Tuning it makes it even better. I loved forced induction from the factory, there is so much potential with even a simple tune.
That being said, I prefer the sound of a V8. But I also prefer the sound of a V12 to a V8, but that's not the direction Lexus will be going.

Aaaaand that's why I pulled the trigger and bought my RC-F earlier this week. There are a lot of cons to owning a forced induction car in the long run. NA vehicles definitely last longer (hopefully you already knew that).

Sad to see the V8 go, much like I was when the e9x M3 lost it.
Curious to see what the turbo future holds for Lexus and the F brand. In the mean time I will gleefully enjoy my roaring V8

That is why I will pick up a mildly used RCF probably next year and then keep it until it dies while keeping things interesting by continuously modding it. Well, that is if Lexus announces an ISF then I will pick up an ISF (if it is still a V8).

As many have said, there won't be a V8TT with Lexus. V8s are getting replaced by V6TTs. Nothing sounds like a V8 IMO, and I much prefer the Lexus V8 engine over the much more powerful V6TT of my departed GTR. Soon there won't be any non-FI engine, so better enjoy them while we can, especially V8s .
I suspect current V8TTs will be replaced by I/V/H-6TTs except in supercars. Was seriously considering the Cayman GTS before buying the RC-F, mainly due to no local Porsche dealer around (being on the fence many times before). But when my buddy told me his second 991 GT3 (2015) blew its engine for the second time (first was a 2014), passed yet again. Couldn't be happier with the RC-F... but haven't taken it on a trip. I'm suspecting the seats might be uncomfortable for a long trip (based on reviews and my a short trip myself), but hope to be wrong. We'll see.
