Here is Stock Weight of RCF Wheels
I see a lot of people asking in a bunch of different threads about the weight of the stock wheels. These are the hand polished RCF ones with Michelin Tires. So here are those as reference if anyone is trying to shed weight.
Front: 51.6lbs
Rear: 56.4lbs

So what's the verdict on the weight of the stock wheels? Are they considered heavy? How lighter can an equally strong wheel of the same size and width be? Just curious, although I'll never change them after what I had to pay extra for them. Ha ha. But regardless of that, they don't seem that heavy, especially for being so strong. I rather have a few extra pounds of wheel weight on a heavy car I'll never track, along with the piece of mind I don't have to worry about my wheels cracking/breaking easily... but that's just me. Having said that, I was surprised even the standard wheels are forged aluminum. Curious about wheel weight of all 3 options, but I suspect nearly identical ones since all have TEN dual spokes (more like 20, really), and are the same sizes. Thank you for that info.

I reckon, you can dip to low-20s with some lightweight aftermarket wheels. It could end up saving a total of anywhere between 24 - 30 lbs of rotational mass. Remember, rotational mass has a compounding effect since inertia increases as rotation increases. Therefore, weight reduction will also have a positive impact on inertia from the wheels. So, the weight savings "virtually" are much more than 24 - 30 lbs from a net effect stand point.

Interesting. Thanks for the data. They don't seem too bad to me but as 05RoallaXRS points out 5 lbs per wheel would make an effective and probably noticeable difference. It's only money :-)
Personally I really like the stock wheels for look, though I haven't seen them on the roll? And importantly, the colour hides the incredible amount of brake dust this beast sheds :-(

The strongest forged 20" wheel made anywhere is the VolkTE37 Ultra. The 20x11 comes in at an even 23lbs

The Verdict (and this is my opinion) are these wheels, for being stock, are very good, light wheel. Obviously if you have money and can afford a car of this caliber you could shed an easy five pounds each corner. I took these off day after I bought the car and put on forged 20" wheels and im now at 47lbs front and 50lbs rear with tire. So it shed some. But I didnt get a chance to mash on the car with the stocks to be able to tell a difference since I drove it home from dealer with stocks and then to wheel shop next morning. But im sure if you went lightweight 19" you could shed an easy 8-10lbs a corner.

so aside from vossen, volk, velgen wheels, what are people choosing?
advan wheels nice, but very very expensive.
here is a website with all wheels you can buy.

Just about anything from Volks forged lines (including the aforementioned TE37's) will come in around 20-22lbs a piece.
TWS (read not TSW) also make some unreal wheels.

So, it looks like the MOST you'd save on All 4 wheels would be around 28lbs.?
