This lap time also shows that the RC-F is about a half-second faster than the IS-F around Fuji Speedway:

RC-F Lap Time = 2:02.8 (or 2:03.7 if this is considered to be the stock RC-F time before the TOM's upgrades)

IS-F Lap Time = 2:03.4

hahahaha. that was a '96 model. and with an advertised 321 hp...i dont think it was all stock.

It's crazy seeing the drivers in split screen. You can really start seeing the difference when watching them simultaneously.

Unless I'm misunderstanding this video, this is a test comparison of Tom's aftermarket chassis braces on the RC-F vs OEM. For those of you that don't know what Tom's is http://www.tomsracing.co.jp/english/what/index.html

The 2:02.805 is with the Tom's aftermarket suspension parts installed
The 2:03.774 is OEM

Do the test cars also have passenger seats removed?

It's was either the MY2010 or MY2011 IS-F. When the Torsen LSD was added for the MY2010, Lexus stated that the Fuji Speedway lap time improved by two seconds, giving the IS-F a lap time of 2:03.4.

Motortrend reports that lap time is for the MY2011 IS-F but I think it's a misquote since the media was previously reporting the 2 second improvement for the MY2010 version.

Oohh... agreed. But the cars would have to be stock for stock with a TVD vs. non-TVD. I'd like to see that though.

Also, seats look to be still there.. Just reclined & tilted all the way back..
