Hi! Can anyone post their current engine bay noise after the High Pressure Fuel Pump Recall J2B or JLB?

I went to Longo Lexus for my 40k mile service and possible fuel pump whistling noise. Their tech and “factory specialist” said it was a normal characteristic. I said, I compared someone’s engine bay noise and they don’t have that kind of noise besides the normal fuel injector noise. They said, it has already been replaced. My concern is what if it’s going bad again? Is the HPFP have a different part number? I know they changed the cover for something else.

My noise isn't really in the engine bay.

I'm pretty sure the fuel pump issue can be heard inside the cabin almost like it's under the driver's seat.


I dropped my car off at Lexus yesterday afternoon. TBD on what they say... I printed out the TSB and everything and left it with them.

That’s the low pressure fuel pump that’s in the tank under the rear seats. It usually makes a humming noise when it’s running too slow (low duty cycle) mostly heard at idle speeds. I think the chirping noise from the engine bay could be from the high pressure fuel pumps, there’s one on each side, on the valve covers.

Well it seems the 2022 rcf fuel pump has the same issues. Oh wait, it’s worse! They can’t even get one. Car now sitting for 2 months. Shall I call Lexus to buy it back?
