Wow. I think with 2 clicks you could have seen I didn't start the thread, so there was no need for that. Just thought it was totally out of place for a vendor to post a catalogued wheel picture. Don't we have a CL Vendor Products for RC-F sub forum for that?
Who's tired of seeing stock cars? You? Many of the posts in this thread are new owners proud of a recent purchase. Some like to show off their ride with a camera and a special location and/or lighting.
Wheels are the "most significant mod"? Please. Wheels are a personal choice, however I'll bet that that CF hood would be at the top of everyone's list. But hey, that's boring and non-creative.
Given all of this, who am I to argue with a 13 year member who has 11k+ posts? After all, you refer to yourself as "The King", right?

As such, I remember the days where stock cars were not the norm. Posting pics of stock cars was often ridiculed by some of the more outspoken members. If you used copy-cat mods instead of good quality originals, the scrutiny was insane. If you mounted anything other than multi-piece forged wheels, some people made you feel less than human. It was all about top quality and tasteful mods.
Most of the OG's are gone. The scrutiny is not so severe now. But I still visit mainly because I sell Lexus cars and I want to keep my eye on what the community sees, thinks and feels.
But I miss our old Clublexus. We had spirited conversation. Friendly competition. But mostly, tons of beautiful pictures of modified Lexus cars. Even the quality of the pictures was a big deal. People were buying nice cameras and learning how to take photography-quality pictures.
So yes, I like seeing modified cars. not stock cars I can see anywhere or anytime.

Actually, I started hanging around here in 2001. We weren't doing meets or organized events. It was I who suggested it first. A group of guys jumped on it and then people all over the country started doing meets. Some of those threads didn't survive the various transformations this site has gone through but take my word for it, i am one of the longest standing members.
