Default Price Paid

Seems the RCF is not flying off the lots so I think that will help once mine shows up in 90-120 days. I have the 1k off thing from Lexus form the asphalt up but am not going to use that until I nail down a price.

Here is what I came up with

Invoice msrp
Car 58,957 63,325
Prem Pack 4,048 4,400
Nav/ML 2,619 2,840
Leather 736 800
Color 548 595

So asking for 1-2k over invoice is that fair?

I'm as surprised as you about these not selling. I would have figured that the first couple would be presold. My local dealer hasn't even sold their first 2 RC350. The first RC-F on the lot is silver / black and msrp price of 72,610. I am still waiting for my asphalt up 1K voucher. How long ago did you get it?

As you should expect, most of the RC Fs will be special orders. Buyers spending up to $86,000 with taxes for this car will only take exactly what they want.

As for general delivery, non-special ordered cars, there are less than 90 RC Fs being delivered to the entire east coast of the US by July of 2015.

Coupes are not a practical car for a lot of people, my dealer has had an RC350 F sport, nebula grey/red on the lot for like 3 weeks now. I thought it would be gone in a hurry.

People are probably particular to the colors they want. Also, the RC 350 has been a huge letdown imo. Once you've seen the RC F, how can you go to the RC 350?

I got the e-mail about a 2 weeks after, mine is good until 5/1/15 not sure if that's the date for all of them or just for me.

When I ordered it she knocked $500 off w/o even asking, I think in 3 months when they have a few sitting on all the lots they will work with me or they may have 1 more lol

I feel 1-2k is fair but 5-6k profit is a little much because they did not have to do anything but order it, I already drove the car. We will see.

Ironically I am a car salesman and have been for 18 years, I know invoice, holdback, money that comes to them for volume and in St Louis there are only two dealers.
The dealer that had the exact combo I wanted was not even interested in discounting the car. The other dealer had a Nebula grey coming in and that was one I did not care for. I figured that I wanted the car bad enough so I bought it. There is something so easy paying sticker and driving off. No buyers remorse, no worries what the dealer was making.

Keep in mind they sell other cars all day long and give them away, yes all they had to do was order the car and sit there and wait, but look at there showrooms and the cost of a Lexus franchise, yes the dealers are rich but that is there luck and hard work over the years and now they finally have a car that is worthy of me stepping into the Lexus showroom.

I paid sticker for the car, 1.6% for 60 months through chase and 3300 for an extended warranty ( Lexus plan 8 years 100k )

If you want it bad enough and you make the money, have fun and buy the car.

True and good point, 4-5k is about what the tax is anyway lol.

Thanks for the info about the $1,000 voucher being in an email. Must have deleted it by accident. Hopefully Lexus can resend it.

RC F goes for MSRP. The "deals" you hear about on the internets are either unicorns or don't take into account other factors like trade-ins or dealer add-ons.

^^ What he said. Don't expect any breaks on the price. Push on your trade.

I used my $1000 off coupon from the Asphalt Up event. Also had an in-out deal on a trade-in as well.

Okay. First congrats. Second, how the heck do the rest of us get this famous magic "coupon" everyone seems to be throwing around.
