Default License plate on RC F spindle grill?

Is this what we're going to have to do (at least in California) to comply with state law? Don't want to ruin front end look! Is there any other way?

In my experience, cops have looked the other way when applying that law with sports cars. I've had an RX8, Boxster, and ISF, and none have been pulled over because it was missing the front plate.

Yeah I haven't gotten a ticket in my 7 years without a front plate. Even with cops right in front of me.

I didn't have the front plates on my LS for 3+ years, until, I got stopped for speeding and was given an additional ticket for the front plates violation. But no, I never got stopped for the front plates alone before that.

After that speeding incident, I put on the front plate soon, after I saw a few chips where the front plate should be so as to cover that up

BTW, some mentioned they don't like the gaping RC F grill, so the front plate might be used as some kind of partition ? ... some might like it better with the front plate.

Yes, I prefer the front plate with Audi grills, they don't look right without them for me.
For the RC F, I don't mind it without the plates, and if I get one, I might go without the front plate at least initially ......

I never put on the CA front plate, at least since 1969. I keep it in the trunk, as a last resort. Have yet to get a ticket for no front plate. The odds of getting one increase each day.

Excellent idea.

In PA, we only have rear bump plates.

If they were really that important, they would be required to be lighted like the back. I've been told that they are required because they give a nice flat surface for radar reflection. Sounds like a little BS to me, but maybe......no front plate on my GS. No tickets yet.

Awhile back someone posted a really cool plate mount for show cars. It screws to the underside of the car, and had an arm that comes up to hold the plate. Super easy to remove, and looked decent. I'd do that before I screwed into my bumper.

Personally, I prefer to have both front and rear plate...........which is why during my first family vacation in America, I was surprised as to why some cars do not have Front Plates.

My first impression was that law enforcement is lenient (for these kinds of things) but I guess it's an American thing (?)

Cultural differences I guess.

Thanks for the new pics. Hadn't seen those before.

The front license plate doesn't look too bad, actually.
