Sure to be one of the more impressive match-lighting demos you’ve ever seen courtesy of RC stunt specialist Drift44 and the toy Lexus RC F.
Parking a Lexus RC F can be tough in the 1/10-scale world. Watch RC drift guru Drift44 makes it look easy.
To give a new dimension to the RC F, we gave Japan’s stunt specialist Drift44 a few 1/10-scale Lexus RC F’s and very little direction. He didn’t disappoint with “Air Pier Parking.”

This is not really a review, but a video reminiscent of the much earlier Japanese IS-F videos on the track ala RC-F.

Many newcomers to the IS F have had similar comments until they understand you DON'T hit the accelerator in 8th gear and expect a lunar launch. The F transmissions allow the driver to on the average drop 2 gears by pulling back on the paddle. If you are in 8th and crawling at low RPM, the tranny will often drop 3 gears at a pull of the paddle...
Both the IS F and the RC F will meticulously obey the commands of a driver who UNDERSTANDS how to tap into their powerful engines.
Unfortunately, this does exclude many of the editors. The RC F has been built to be driven hard, and the more you work the rev range, the more it will beckon to your call. The car is clearly not for the sleepy driver who wants to coast to the office. I think they make Buicks for that purpose.

Q+A With Lexus RC F, GS F Chief Engineer Yukihiko Yaguchi

There is plenty of interesting discourse in this interview. I found the following two answers differentiating the brand:
A: Other performance brands are moving heavily into turbocharging. What advantages does a naturally aspirated V-8 offer over the competition?
Y: Response, sound, seamless power delivery -- those are the three key elements to the F brand experience, and a naturally aspirated engine gives drivers predictable power, and builds confidence in tandem with the rest of the vehicle system tuning.
A: Would an engine smaller than the V-8 ever be considered for an F performance model?
Y: No. I think the V-8 is the sportiest and it meets the power and fuel economy targets with a combination of Atkinson/Otto cycle operation. The sound is a very important part of the experience, I feel.

The Lexus RC F is a car that says hell no to downsizing and hell yes to mad styling and addictive V8 noise. It's for these reasons that you simply must see this car in action!
