I don't think the two side covers are making their way back in...
The covers visible on this Pre-Production unit look to be "unfinished" as well..
Seems the enigne cover trend will continue, with what was done on the 3IS & 4GS

from my experience as a long time toyota/lexus fan... i would say 2nd or 3rd year version of the Carbon Package will come with CF hood... history tells us... IS300 never came with manual until 2nd or 3rd yr of production, 2nd gen IS350 never came with awd until 2011+ models, 2nd gen IS-F never came with LSD until later years... toyota wise look at the FRS... 1st yr production, no push start button, no auto climate control, no headlights with LED eyebrows, no leather seats and now out comes the monogram and scion 10 edition with leather and everything...

[QUOTE=RNM GS3;8593617]Not feeling these wheels at all plus the offsets and ride height are HORRIBLE!
WHY do the rear brakes look so small???[/QUOTE
in general, all Toyota/lexus offsets are conservative. and theres absolutely nothing good looking about any of the wheel choices for the ISF either. as far as ride height, the rear is slightly lower than the front on the ISF as well.
I like the exterior styling, but the dash and center console just don't do it for me. 2nd gen IS interior > 3rd gen. and I hope the alcantara center console lid doesn't make it into production. that material wont last too long for sure..

In my experience, the Alcantara wears extremely well.
