Default Snowboard through Ski-Pass

Hey there;

Currently have an ISF but looking to switch it up and get into an RCF.
I was just wondering if the ski pass is any wider than in the RCF than in the ISF / IS series.
I cant fit a snowboard through the pass in the ISF so I had to mount a roofrack, which is not possible on the RCF.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. The pass-through is not large, but if you are looking to fit snowboard through it, it looks too small for that. Take a look at the picture below.

There is a big 10-point metal chassis brace for both torsional/lateral rigidity, which is why the pass-through is small. You can see it in the picture below and get an idea on how it compares to your ISF.

You can always get a SeaSucker mount. I have the bicycle mount. It’s been great with no issues.

The tires are "summer" tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S) and are not recommended for cold weather. Perhaps better to drive a rental to go snowboarding?

He uses his ISF all the year round (probably) with snow tires in the winter and wants to continue doing that with an RCF. That is what my guess is. I personally put mine away next week till March. He lives in the same city as me.

My 160 will not fit through the pass through with or without bindings and I sincerely doubt a smaller board would either.

The ski-pass thru is really only big enough for skis. Not going to get a snowboard through there.
