Default 2014 Lexus RC F GT3

2014 GMS: RC F GT3 CONCEPT WORLD PREMIERE
LEXUS TO SUPPORT GT3 RACING IN 2015

World Premiere of RC F GT3 concept at the 2014 Geneva motor show signals Lexus’ intent to support GT3 sports car racing in 2015

Wider and lower than standard RC F road car, weighing just 1,250 kg
Modified RC F V8 developing some 540 DIN hp
Geneva, Switzerland - The World premiere of the new RCF GT3 concept at the 2014 Geneva motor show signals Lexus’ intent to support GT3 sports car racing in 2015.

Jointly developed over two years by Lexus International and its subsidiary Techno Craft, and built by the latter in Japan, the RC F GT3 concept is based on the new RC F coupe, the most powerful V8 performance car yet developed by Lexus.

4705 mm long, 2000 mm wide, 1270 mm high and with a wheelbase of 2730 mm, the RC F GT3 concept is wider and lower that the standard RC F, yet, with the interior stripped to racing specification, weighs just 1,250 kg.

A modified version of the RC F’s V8 engine develops some 540 DIN hp.

The launch of the RC F GT3 concept marks the start of a long-term commitment to GT3 racing by Lexus. Testing will begin this year, with a view to supporting sports car racing teams participating in 2015 GT3 racing open to cars in this category.

That's the before-and-after shots with the RC350 going into Hulk mode.

The hood vents should have made it to the production. There is no rice about 3 vents on top of 5.0L V8.

I really like the fact that Lexus is going the homologation route by tuning the same production engine to race specs with a 8000+ rpm redline and 531 HP (103 HP/Liter) when most of the racing teams use a completely different engine for the racing car compared to the production car (for example, Corvette C6-R uses a completely different engine than the production cars).

Why wait. You could buy this one, it won't be street legal, but you'll have one

I'm with you on this... For some reason the Geneva launch photos of the RC F Sport and RC F GT-3 is just further confusing the true "F" marque (in my opinion)

The release of the GT-3 photos should have been shot together with a standard
RC F V8.
(Not the RC 350 F Sport)

I agree it's still great for the overall F brand, but even the words in the press article point back to an RC F..

Great release pics by Lexus International
