I spoke to folks at Lexus this week. With the carbon package (hood, roof, and speed activated spoiler) it is a likely $85,000 for the RC F.

We'll know the official year one pricing soon enough.

HAHAHA I joined the forum to follow the RC F. 85K is a tad over my budget.

I will have to switch to undecided now for $85,000, I was hoping around $70,000 max, maybe with a base model it will still happen

If I didn't have the ISF, I'd wait a few years til the RCF depreciates and pick one up. That's pretty much what I did with the ISF, waited 3 years after it came out and got one. I don't see my next car being the RCF, it's too similar to the ISF in terms of performance. Interior is light years ahead of the ISF though!

How is it too similar? It has a completely different chassis, suspension, torque vectoring differential and the engine has also been completely reworked from the internals out allowing it to respond quicker and rev much higher (with more torque at high rpms). The only thing that might be very similar is the transmission, but that is a small piece of the whole package.

You are correct: it is pure speculation and I would hope that the Lexus eyeballs reading these posts will soon put an end to it with an actual price for the base and top end models.

This is going to be a one unique car for sure. You won't see this car on every single intersection, like you see BWM's and MB's. If I had some extra $, I would definitely consider buying one.

I plan to drive the IS F longer and see how the RC F shapes up over the course of its life. I also have a door per seat rule, so this car would have to be something special to really violate that. I like it, but I'll likely pass.

Can't wait to bump into one on the road or see it in person, though. If it's anything like the rest of the newer Lexus lineup, it should have a very nice presence which isn't always captured in photos.

RCF might be the last V8 of the F cars, V6TT will probably replace it later on as well if they make another ISF. V8 >>> V6TT personally
