M4 guys won't have to worry about looking at their perceived "ugly predator grill" cause they will only be seeing the beautiful rear end of the RC-F as they try and keep up with the V8 beast

I like the design of the M4 better, there I said it.

And is Lexus really proposing to release this car at a price-point north of $100k as reported by MotorTrend in Aug? If so that puts it in pretty exlusive company not only in terms of price but performance and likely out of reach of most M4 buyers.

Tell you one thing... the M4 has a much better NAV screen then the Lexus... I have no idea what Lexus was thinking about this small screen where the LS and GS both have very nice big NAV screens

The one thing I noticed on the BMW M4 that I would not like is the placement of the cup holders, it looks inconvenient...

MT just cut and pasted an Australian article about the RC-F. In Australia, a current generation IS-F costs 100,000 USD. The point of the Australian article was that the RCF would be in the same ballpark price-wise as the outgoing IS-F.

So if this holds true in the US, the new RC-F should be around/slightly more expensive than the current gen IS-F

ie the RC-F will be cheaper than the M4.

The bottom line for US market, this car will be price at ISF ball park ~ 67K, not the 70k !
Anything higher than that will be nonsense.

If you think the the RCF will be priced at 67 K.. Your insane.

This will probably be the most advanced Lexus car underneath the LFA. The engine has alot of new tech along ( even uses a engine tech from the hybrid pruis at low speeds ) with a lot firsts tech within the Lexus lineup. Features like the new LED lights, the new touch pad and other features we do no kno about yet. If Lexus cheap out on this car in anyway it will show and most likely hurt it. All this high tech, Luxury, Style and power wont come cheap. I expect it to be well over 70k.

I expect the M4 to be over 70k and so will this. As Long as the RCF is cheaper then the competitor and performs just as good or better Lexus will be golden.

Agreed.

I'd be very very surprised if either the M4 or the RCF were below $70k. If you want all that tech plus in car goodies, you've gotta be prepared to pay for it. Also, you won't find any of the German competition pricing their coupe offerings lower than their equivalent sedans ie. RS5 vs RS4, C63 coupe vs sedan. So there's no reason to think that the RCF won't be a little higher than the ISF.

Well you're not going to like this then..

Just had a brief conversation with a LPC member and expect the RC-F base to ring at the mid $70Ks and production (aka region built) to be low $80Ks. The optional CF package brings it close to $85K

With that pricing it will not do well against M3/4.
I personally thought it would base at $65 and fully loaded at $75k.
