Default brand new brakes are squeeking

I recently changed out my front brake pads to ceramics since the lexus oem brake pads were giving off too much brake dust

but now my problem is that when the cars been sitting for a few hours and i drive it in the beginning it squeeks like crazy until the brakes have warmed up

does anyone know how i can fix this problem???

Which ceramic break pads did you buy? Brand and model? Also, lexus recommends you change the rotors with every brake change...but on this car that could be kinda expensive. On my old Honda and other less performance cars, I would just get new aftermarket blank rotors because they are so cheap. However, on this car I am considering getting my factory rotors cut when I eventually need to change my pads.

I've got an F-Sport - I get the occasional squeal. The dealer mentioned the pads on this vehicle will squeal occasionally at low speeds. They offered to remove my pads for a softer compound that was available but mentioned a reduction in brake performance.

You probably need to "Bed in" your brakes. Here is a link on the procedure. http://brakeperformance.com/bedding-in-rotors.php
I have no squeal, and my brakes are about 2 years old, but then when I got the car I performed the brake bedding in procedure and I haven't had an issue yet.

i don't like the oems as there is a lot of brake dust.....after i wash my car the next day the rims are black and sometimes the dust gets on the side of the car

Thanks Gearhead! I'll have to try that method out and see if that helps........like i said it's only in the beginning when the car is cold, but once the brakes have warmed up it doesn't make any sound

also i only drive the car like 2-5 miles a day because work is like 10mins from where i live

How long are the stock pads and rotors supposed to last? My service advisor mentioned something atrocious and I really don't want to believe it....
