I've been a new owner since Tuesday----and I'm wondering what others use for extra storage in their cars. Husband and I each have prescription glasses and sunglasses cases which almost fill up the console. Then there are miscellaneous things like umbrella, kleenex box, cell phones, change for parking meters, etc. And other female owners, where do you store your purse if there's a passenger?

That's a lot of stuff. I just throw my gym bag into the back seat, but you might want to look into one of those U-Haul things. These are the sacrifices we make for style.

I would just throw anything that doesn't fit into the console, glove box and the door pockets on the back seat/floor. Maybe even the trunk.

The RC doesn't offer much by means of internal storage. It provides a glove box, two shallow cupholders (in the AWD), armrest storage (which isn't very big), some super thin -- almost useless -- side door pockets and if you've got keys or change you can use the shallow pocket which is really the integrated handle where you grab the door to pull it closed. The car is missing a good accessible place for a large cell phone, dedicated sunglasses holder and larger side pockets.

As a result, I'm pretty selective on what I carry on me person in the car vs what I put in the trunk. Almost everything goes into the trunk -- or -- back seat.
