LMAO at the above...seems like RCF owners love their cars a little too much! I'm reading on other threads here that they may be releasing a hybrid model of the RC incase you want to wait for that too...just fyi.

LOL damn right...it was the only thing preventing me from getting it (the RWD i mean). Almost went with a used GTR too but finally went with lexus as it just looks the best IMO right now among all the japanese cars I'm into. This is my first lexus (not toyota) but certainly not going to be my last. Maybe down the road, a GSF since I know I'm going to be keeping this beautiful machine forever!

I went from an '11 IS250 to a '16 RC200t. But I settled for the IS250 a few years ago because of Lexus reliability even though I really wanted a coupe (Camaro) Then when Lexus announced the new RC I knew it would be my next car. Couldn't be happier

I went from a '14 IS250 to a '16 IS200t F Sport. Here are my pros and cons for both engines :

• 250 is definitely smoother
• 250 needs high revs for power
• 250 sounds better, and idles better
• 250 averaged ~25 mpg
• 200t averages ~28 mpg
• 200t comes with a better transmission
• 200t idles rough.. doesn't sound good
• 200t feels a LOT stronger than the 250

All in all, I like that the 200t has direct AND port injection, and that it comes with the 8-speed transmission. But in all honesty, if the 250 came with both features, I would pick it over the 200t hands down, even at the same 200 hp.

I know that I love mine in spite of some cons. But if everyone else had a RC F then I wouldn't.

So I'm glad that people buy the 200T and the like.

Something doesn't sit right with me spending 45k+ on a new luxury car with such an outdated engine--10-15 year old design. I wanted the new turbo 4 because I wanted my new car to be a part of the modern "big boy club" with new/high tech turbo engines.

I modded the air box a la 250/350 F-sport by cutting a hole in it, removed the charcoal padding/filter in the airbox stream, and installed a blue f-sport drop in filter. it did help throttle response and got rid of some of the lag/delay. Turbo is more eager to spool.

I test drove the RC200t as the dealer I went to did not have a RC350 for me to test the day I was there. I had driven the RC350 once already before the RC200t test drive and The RC350 had a considerable amount of power compared to the 200t, and not in terms of specs, but I mean in terms of the feel of the drive. I felt like I had to floor the 200t in order to get the same response that you would get driving the RC in regular mode.. sport mode is just a different story. When I test drive my cars I make sure to push them. You want to the full feel of what you’re paying for. On another note my dad owns a IS250, and although the 200t feels a little different, it’s not that far off. I would say go with the RC 350 if anything, not sure if you have made this decision yet. And if you can pull the trigger on a RCF, do it, sure wish I could. That would be my major upgrade from my current RC 350. Next car maybe?

Sorry for any typos, responded from my iphone
