Disengage cruise control auto off feature?
I'm kind of up against the clock. I am sure this answer is in a book in the car. But that book looked pretty thick.
My husband just told me that he did not want to take my car to the ball game because he can't stand the cruise control turning off every time it gets even close to a car (yes, I understand what this may mean, but I'm not driving with him and he is a grown man).
Is there a way to disengage the automatic turn off on the safety cruise control feature? He likes to be the one in control I suppose.
Thank you.

don't use it? or try changing the follow distance (giant flat button on bottom of right thumb controls). The display should have three blocks in front of car icon in cruise display? I don't know if you can turn it all the way off or not

You can turn the radar cruise control off by holding in the "on" button when initiating the cruise control. The cruise control will then operate without the radar keeping you a set distance away from the car. Also, pushing the radar cruise control button on the right side of the steering wheel will change the follow distance.

You can actually turn off the radar cruise control by pushing the stick away from you after turning on the cruise control. If you look on the stick, it has an arrow pointing away from you that says mode. Once you have turned it off, the icon switches from the cruise control with a car on the top right, to just an arrow on the top right. It can only be toggled when your cruise control is not engaged, or right after you turn on the cruise control.

if one wants to be in control, one doesn't use cruise control.
30+ years of driving, 20+ cars with cruise control, can count on one hand how many times I've used it.

I appreciate the response.
