Default AIMGAIN Rear Spoiler, should i?

So been considering getting a rear spoiler for the RC, came about the AIMGAIN kit and contacted a seller on Instagram. They want to sell me one for 200. Sounds like a great price right? but then they sent me the pics and they say there is a crack on it. uhm, Not sure how easy it would be for a shop to fix this. I'm only considering because there is no drilling required unlike the one sold by other sellers.

I wouldn't buy a cracked spoiler, especially not for $200. That's just me though..

MSRP is $525. I think it would be better to buy brand new without having to get any work done.

Saw your email, thanks for the response Josh.

I'm surprised that there are not alot of options out there for spoilers for the RC. I'm guessing they are still in development?

So far, I have only found AIMGAIN/TRD/Rocket Bunny custom spoilers.

I think I will wait until there are more options.

Yup!

Still a pretty new vehicle.

I wouldn't do it....I had a crack in a spoiler in another one of cars and even after trying to bond and paint over it, it always seemed to be noticible and eventually crack....probably better off waiting for something else or buying new.

What about the factory setup? It comes painted and is an exact match.

Yeah, i wanted something alittle more "aggresive." I'm also not going for something ricy, but not really a big fan of the factory one.

I hear you! I originally bought the car without a spoiler hoping something a bit higher would come out, but just had the OEM one installed today. It looks better in real life vs pictures. I also have a USB, here's a compo in the event that you are remotely considering that route...

Did you get it from the dealer ?

And this requires drilling right? Or are you able to attach the factory one using 3M?

From the factory it did has four points that had screws that were to be drilled into the car. I've heard of people removing the screws (only two of the four are pre-installed) and simply using an adhesive.

I was skeptical of the look prior to install, but am satisfied with the result and wouldn't go back!

Yeah it surely looks great, i was just trying to avoid the whole drilling this as i might want to get a different one later in the future.

What's next on your RC? Great color choice hehe

Mine (Infrared) was the Lexus standard accessory spoiler, and had been installed by the dealer before I even saw the car. As handy as I am with tools, I don't know if I would want to drill holes in the back deck to save a few bucks. The look of the spoiler is a terrific addition to the car.
