Where are the 350's? (how's the 200t?)
SO I've been in the market for a 350 for the past few weeks. I already went to a BIG Socal dealer and test drove the 200T and the 350.
Since I am hooked on the ext/int of this car, I don't mind the 200t and considering it but I do feel the engine difference and trying to not let it bother me as I do drive in the LA traffic (MPG!)
I have a deal on paper on the both cars BUT the dealer is unable to find the exact 350 in the entire west?! 2016 Blk/Red with most options.
1. Yes, I have read all the posts about 200t vs 350, and it IS ultimately MY decision, but still curious about thoughts on the 200t powertrain from current owners. I will be going from a just lease ended BMW 535 + My ole reliable betsie... 2007 Camry daily driver 4cyl. I know its not in the same category as the Beamer but I don't want to feel underwhelmed like I do when my 4 cyl Camry struggles on the uphill on the 241 (for local Socal folks )
2. For anyone in the market, are they having challenges with getting the350? Seems like they are VERY far and few, at least in the west. Yes?
thanks

I have a 200t and i love it. The tq the turbo makes down low is perfect for city driving imo. However i never drove the 350 but i did own a g35 and that i think is a similar v6 300hp. I think the turbo is just a little more fun in the lower rpms but the 200t def lacks up top. I bet if we could get full bolt ons and a tune the turbo would scream but it seems doubtful we will ever get a tune.

I have the 350, and drive it like it was meant to be, full of fun and getting on the throttle every time I can. Oh, and I still get over 22.5 MPG doing that, and if I behave I get close to 30 MPG.
Having driven in LA traffic before a wheelchair would be faster, so I'm sure a 200T would suit you fine, and your gas prices are through the roof.

Best I got is 20.9mpg and that's going 65-71mph in normal. Might have to take it to Vegas and see what's the best I can get.

How did you manage to get 22.5? I put it in sport + and let my gf take it for a day and she came back with 16.9mpg. I'm like... Uhhh what did you do? She just said "I drove it, and it's fast!"

You can try using a K&N drop-in air filter. Should get you a couple of miles more per gal of gas.

Well I ended up getting the the 200t with the color combo and options I wanted.
Will post pix. Love the car. Yes I did test drive the 350's although still couldn't find one. Of course there is a performance difference but I am happy with the 200t and its Turbo. Mainly because it was the ext/int that made me fall in love with this car.
