Coilovers on rc models
have not seen much posting on coilovers for the rc 350 models, mostly on the RC F, who has gotten aftermarket coils? how do you like them? did you get better handling/less body roll? thank you for your time!

I believe RSR has some coilovers for the RC series. I'd imagine less body roll and better handling since your car is lower to the ground and the suspension is stiffer. If you have any questions, feel free to message me!

RSR and BC both make coils. The RSR ones are almost $2,000. But I believe the BC coils are $980

WE actually sold a few sets of the BC Racing already and customers have been pretty happy. Installed a set in the shop about 2.5 weeks ago.
The RSR are great coilovers as well. Do they warrant $2000.... no but we can always do a better price as one of their largest dealers :-)

Springs are really popular for this car and they get the basic job done, but coilovers are really the way to go for adjustability. I always run them and they typically set me back 2-3K but for this car I am trying to keep it simple since I'll probably get something new next year anyways.

Yes by simple he meant just going with springs, which is what i did. Coilovers are definitely the way to go but are much more expensive. The good thing about coilovers is that you can adjust your ride height and the dampening to suit your needs. You will reduce your body roll with either springs or coilovers, but some people want the ability to adjust so they go with coilovers.

Just posted this on another thread. Why spend the $300 on something temporary that is going to do more bad then good.
Coilovers and Lowering Springs are two different classifications of products. While they both can achieve a goal of lowering your car, track is not the only reason to have coilovers.
With lowering springs you are stuck with one height, with one dampening setting and you have to live with it. The higher the spring drop you choose, you are sacrificing your ride quality. There is no disputing that. Its in the equation. Spring/Shock combo mechanics are completely different than a coilover setup. You would feel less through a coil over shock than you would through a standard shock.
On just lowering springs, your suspension is lowered and travel is reduced, yet there is no increased spring rate or damping force to prevent bottoming out of the shocks.

Are you saying you're changing the suspension in a year OP or getting a new car completely?

Probably plan to get coils and remove them after turning the car in. Just want better handling and from the rear swinging around and since no anti sway bars are being sold, coils will give the best bang for the buck in handling, body roll issues

Yea than you would need to go with the RSR. BC Racing has AWD though in development for the IS AWD, RC AWD and GS AWD
