Default Question about transmission sound

Guys,

So ever since I got my RC 350 my transmission wind has been particularly noticeable. I got the luxury package btw. Is anyone experiencing the same thing? Wondering if this is normal or if I should contact the dealer about it.

I assume you really mean transmission whine, because if your transmission had wind, well you need to get it some antacid. Sorry couldn't help myself.

Since you have the Luxury edition do mean when the transmission shifts you are hearing it? By chance do you have the option that lets you hear the engine sound in the cabin? If so that might be what you are hearing, and you can turn that down or even off. It should be a small rotary **** on the left lower instrument panel.

If none of what I mentioned is what you are talking about take it back and have them check it out.

haha yeah whine* sorry

And the sound is most apparent when I accelerate and let off the gas. It gets a little better when the engine heats up.

I'd say take it back to the dealer, but make sure the car doesn't get too warm otherwise they will say "couldn't duplicate" the complaint. If possible let them keep it over night, and you insist on being there in the morning when they take it out for a test drive. Believe me it will be better if you are there when the car is tested.
