Default Can you play video in RC 350?

Hi everyone.
While exploring the options in my new RC 350 I see the A/V or Video option with a single wire icon/image. I tried playing videos through my iPhone 5 video library and even youtube both wired and blutooth, even while the car was parked. But couldn't.
Is the video option only for the DVD? or you need some external integration?

beatsonic navigation bypass kit will let you play DVD movies anytime. Normally you have to be in park and parking brake on.

I think the 1/4" "AUX" port in the center console is for analog video and audio.

For me, I love the Nav/DVD bypass unit as it allows me to enjoy the custom 5.1 DVD-A discs I author. Really taking advantage of the great ML sound system.

I can create artwork for each track to display, and include Dolby Digital music videos and trailers. Drive and enjoy without having to mess with media on my phone. But whatever works best for your ride!

Zero: although the odds of doing so just went up considerably, I hope you never have an accident in that car, because your chances of being charged and also your chances of getting a giant judgment entered against you after the civil trial are enormous. I would think that once the officers and the plaintiff's attorney find out that a car involved in an accident has been modified to allow videos (the quality of which is immaterial) to be played while the car is being driven, the owner is, as we say, in deep do-do, legally, financially and otherwise. I am not an advocate of this technology.

I thank you for your concern for my safety, your legal advice and your statement of technology preferences.

Default so not for iphone direct

so basically no way to play directly off of your iphone/apple/android devices without using converting (in this case) lightning to hdmi to composite to the single 4 pin coupled jack!
when will airplay come to lexus :'(

Today I tested out this little box, https://www.amazon.com/Ivishow%C2%AE.../dp/B01CYR37J2

Everything worked as advertised, and the video quality is decent. This is should be a good option until beat sonic releases their CarPlay/android auto module, but even then no mirroring or video apps.

You will need a bypass module to make this run while driving though.

I have a NAV bypass unit in my car, and I have to enable it before it works, and it goes back to disabled when I shut the car off. The main reason I put it in is so my passenger can add in new addresses to the NAV system while I'm driving. Otherwise the only way to do it is stop the car, enter in the new address and start driving again. I can (passenger) enter in a new address on the Garmin GPS that I have while the car is moving. I don't watch movies in the car as that is what a 75" LED TV in my living room is for.
