Default AWD and tight turns.

So the problem is that when I turn fairly sharp I can feel the front tires grabbing and slipping a bit, especially on wet roads. I have the car at the dealership for the first scheduled maintenance and asked them to look at that. I know that 4wd vehicles can do this grab and slip because the tires rotate differently when engaged and turning tightly. The issue is that I never felt this in my EVO at all. Just seeing if I am the only one that feels this or is this normal for everyone? My dealership said that it was normal but, I don't trust dealerships at all.

Thanks for any help.

My garage is a side entry so I have to make a 90 degree turn to get in. I do not notice this when I pull in, however, I have noticed this when I back out of the garage and turn hard. I just figured it was normal for an AWD.

There is a difference between 4WD and AWD. You might be feeling what is referred to as wheel hop. Wider tires normally do that on very sharp slow turns. Happens all the time on my Corvette but have not noticed it on my RC F Sport.
