Black Pearl Emblem?
Hello. Has anybody seen a black pearl emblem for the grill? Im trying to find one but can't seem to find any. I've got the plastic coated emblem out and tried to pry the plastic cover off to get to the L but it's tough and I don't want to break anything. I wanted to get badges painted gun metal gray to match wheels but now I'm not sure of my options. The part number is 90975-02133 and supposedly that's same as LS460 and those are on eBay for 330 but it's black and it's expensive.
I'm thinking about Tamiya smoke paint to spray the plastic front in hopes to tint everything enough to give appearance of grey L, but Tamiya website says not to use on plastic. Not sure why I wouldn't be able to use model paint on plastic???
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks for looking
Thanks

I tried plasti-dip on the back and it came out gritty. Taking the emblems off back took 30 minutes so I'm not worried about back now. If I plasti dipped the front you wouldn't be able to see the L. You can't get to the actual L in front badge no matter what you do. It's encased in the plastic. At this point I'm going to try to try the Tamiya paint on the plastic, clear coat it and hope it turns out ok. If not I'll buy the black out L for the LS460 from a guy on eBay. He also said he's supposed to get blackout L for RC 350 by end of the month, but he sort of confused me cause part #s are the same

So here's an update. I wanted to "gunmetal" my L's to match the Fsport badge, so I used the DIY (link below) to do so. It's still a little darker than the Fsport but I don't care. On these white cars the chrome seems to wash away so I'm happy. Below are some pics on the car and compared to original chrome. I'm also showing the single stripe of paint I did on the vertical/diagonal line of L I did on the front L that's encased in plastic. I did that first and the paint won't scratch off, but I ruined the piece doing something else(long story). I do think I'm going to tape up wheels and do centerpieces. Anyway to get the color, I did 2 passes at a time and did that 3 times. So you could say 3 light coats, with each coat consisting of 2 passes.
