Default Proud new RC owner. things I do and don't like have questions.

As the title stated, my GIRLFRIEND, is the proud new owner of a Ultra white on Rioja red RC350. I myself am a proud MY 11 IS250. We absolutely love the car, but coming from previous model/generation Lexus', my question is this. Is the lights in the footwell able to be turned on while driving like in my IS? My IS they are constant running but dim nwhen put in gear. I like the ambiance so I tapped into the single LED and put a strip. She likes it too and wants something similar. I love the LED strips on the door panel, But no ambient LED light over the center console like on my IS or my buds GS? Looking for suggestions as to what people have done or found out so far. There are so many incredible options to adjust through the radio head its ridiculous. Has anyone replaced the door courtesy lamps? Bulb and or entire piece for an LED one? I replaced mine with an ultra bright JDM toy version and love it. It looks similar in size but cant confirm yet. And no puddle lamps on the mirrors on this car? Hmm..... options? Love the door handle bucket leds though! Oh yeah, so in my old RX, when ypu set memory seat, steering etc when you turn the car off the steering tilts up and seat moves back for easy out. So far only the steering tilts up but seat doesn't move. Is this a new tjing lexus is doing or am I doing something wrong? Well for now thats all I got. Thanks in advance for replys.

Congrats on the new ride, and great color combination. I changed out the footwell, door, and trunk lights for LED. I also added the lighted Lexus door sills. See my posts.

If you get the Carista Pro App and a wireless ODBII connector and look for my RC 350 Customization Checklist & Explanations of what you can change anything that is listed as Dealer Only you can now change. For example, remote start with the key fob, and also opening the windows and moonroof with the key fob. Those two are Dealer only options.

If you want the seat to move back for easy out do like I did, and other here, and program one of the buttons to do that. One for you, one for the girlfriend and say #2 for the easy out function.

Have fun.

My guess is the seat doesnt move back in the RC is youll squash someones legs if they are back there. RC and ES the seats moved but those have huge backseats

The lights on the door handle act as puddle lights.

Wow thats amazing! Thanks so much for the info. Do you have the bulb sizes for each of those you replaced? And great idea on the memory seat option to move back. Good thinking. Are you saying that even If I dont buy the wireless OBD2 you mentioned, the dealer can program the fob for remote start?

Hmm... not quite puddle light esque. My puddle lights on my IS are phenomenal. I need a retro to add some to these mirrors.

Yes. The Dealer will setup for free any of those options listed as Dealer only, but it is a one time deal. Any change after the initial free change can result in a charge. It really depends on how nice your dealer is. For me I wanted to be able to make changes on the fly, and it was worth the $59 I spent for the Carista Pro App and ODBII wireless adapter to do so.

Here is the caveat to the Remote Start with the FOB, you must have an active Lexus Enform Remote package for it to work. Good news is that you already have that for 1 year from the time you took delivery, but after that you will need to pay a yearly subscription fee. Hopefully your dealer set that up for you and downloaded the Lexus Enform Remote Start App to your smartphone. You can remote start the car via the App on the phone or by using the key fob.

Here is the link to my other post about LED door lighting.

Didnt buy from Van Nuys, got from Valencia. Took advantage of the end of the month opportunity, a non lexus owner $1000 rebate and hustling between 3 dealerships. Got it down to the $49,118 they were offering for the 36 month lease option minus $1000 rebate. We negotiated for 15k miles and the 3999.99 down included the first month payment. So $48,118 base our base price. Westminster didn't want to play ball. Essentially they said the white/red is most sought after and less flexible....

Alright boys, its confirmed now. The iJDM Toy replacement door lamps DO fit perfectly into the RC's door panel. The plug is exactly the same. Took me 5 seconds to pop out the lights from the door and plug in this new one. It looks amazing in place of that stock nasty. I had the old stock door lenses with LED bulbs in them from my IS and they fit perfectly too. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. I dont know why it has a different part number than my IS. Anyhow just ordered a 2nd set from Amazon for $25 for her car since I took mine back. FYI to get the lens out, I used a panel popper and pryed it out. I did from the bottom side of the door panel and not the front so any imperfections from prying it out wont be noticed. Enjoy.

From bottom to top. Stock RC, IS lens, iJDM toy

10lexISR6, that looks awesome. Can you post a link to the bulbs on amazon? I'm not sure which ones to order.

Here you go bud, it's on I think page 3 or 4 of gearhead69's thread that I posted the link as well and more invaluable information.

Thanks! That's a great thread...not sure how I missed it. I not only bought the replacement door lamps but I also bought the LED bulb for the trunk you mentioned in that thread.
