0-60, 60-80, 80-120 Times
Wanted to share some videos I took testing out my RC350. Times are pretty good. Videos start and stop exactly when I hit the times so I could measure. Not 100% accurate but pretty close. Full Catback w/o secondary cats, Takeda Intake, Lighter wheels (5lbs each side), and no spare tire. Im 230lbs, 69 degrees, flat ground, at sea level. Youtube cuts off slightly early but these are the exact length on my phone. Enjoy.
0-60 was 5.0 seconds
60-80 was 2.5 seconds
80-120 was 10.8 seconds
0-60 was 5.0 seconds
60-80 was 2.5 seconds
80-120 was 10.8 seconds

I knew this car was fast, and now here is the proof. When you did the 0-60 run did you use the paddle shifters or full automatic? I only have the Takeda intake, but it still should be about 5.5 seconds. When I get my windshield phone holder I do some runs with Torque Pro and time it.
Thanks for sharing.

I mean, fast is subjective. The car isn't slow like I feel everyone talks about. I put the car in manual mode and then I just floor it. When the traction control is on it won't bounce off the limiter so don't worry. It will still shift for you but it will redline the gears better. Also I had mix results using torque app. I felt it wouldn't keep up with our digital tac and the times were way off. It says that app doesn't use gps so it had mixed results. Everything else on the app is cool to monitor though. Not sure an intake alone would produce great improvement. More air in needs to get out faster so might need to get an exhaust to see benefit of an intake. The exhaust on the RC is pretty bad stock. Lexus tries to keep it quiet for the old people buying the cars 😜

Ouch! I might remind you that old is a state of mind. I'm 63 and run it in manual mode most days. The old guy's grew up running gears when most fast cars were manual transmission. We love a rumble from the exhaust and a tach hitting red line. I mean really...I didn't buy a LS!

My 65 Mustang has a 5 speed Tremec and I love it, but not in daily traffic, hence the auto with manual options for the daily driver.
It's fun driving a 50 year old car that is customized for road / canyon courses w/o all the nannies, and has over 300 hp, really it is.
My wife has the ES330, dubbed the flying couch as it is soft and plush for long drives.

This car is definitely "quick" but not fast. Drive an S4 or M235/335 if don't agree, both obviously faster when in the cockpit. All great cars for slightly different buyers of course

Just teasing you guys. However old you guys are, I'm glad it's in a beautiful car like the RC! There are so many other reasons why we chose a car like this versus a bmw or Audi that's .2 seconds faster. All are good brands and if we liked a car more we would be in one of those cars.

This is cool rmsimmonsj, thanks for sharing!
I read reviews that rate the speed of the 350 F Sport as just ok. I disagree. Mine is pretty f"in fast. I am blown away by the rapid shift changes while in (Sport S+, Manual, Trac Off)! Raced an older AMG 4 door getting on a long ramp to the hiway. I had no problem making him push it to his limits. I even experienced a little drift action in a left curve.
Consider its size and weight... Not bad action with that in mind.
Reducing the weight and adding the intake and exhaust is the way to go.
Nice job!
